Our Father’s House

Welcome

Welcome to Our Father’s House ministry, a place where faith meets recovery on a transformative Journey

Embracing the 12 steps, we bridge the gap between the church and recovery fellowships, guiding addicts towards a profound, life changing relationship with Jesus.

We are a welcoming and Bible believing community.

We invite you to discover healing, redemption, and a life full of meaning and purpose, through a relationship with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, though His Spirit and Word, and the work of the 12 steps.

We are here to support addicts in every step of their recovery process.

Come as you are!

All of us at Our Fathers House are people affected directly or indirectly by addiction.

We are members of 12 step fellowships such as narcotics anonymous, alcoholics anonymous and cocaine anonymous. We do not intend to be a substitution to 12 step programmes or to the wider church, we see ourselves as a bridge between the two.

We are here to introduce those in recovery or still addicted into a relationship with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. We encourage you to continue the programme where you have found recovery, to work the 12 step programme and to also join a home church where you can be in community with other Christians in order to be discipled and grow spiritually.

Our prays and hope is that it will be a place where you can find others like you, and introduce you to faith in a way you can relate, and in a place where you can feel fully welcomed and not judges. The same way we have found freedom from active addiction and joy and hope through the 12 steps and a relationship with Christ, we know and trust that you too, will find the same.

I was just a broken girl living in a messed up world…God met me right there! and I experienced a profound and miraculous encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ

Angela Jane Joy:

Our Father’s House - Ministry Leader, Leeds

My story, His glory

In 2015, after hitting my rock bottom and planning to commit suicide I fell to my knees and cried out to God in desperation. God met me right there and I experienced a profound and miraculous encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ that changed everything. Through His grace, mercy and love I found salvation, healing, deliverance, restoration,  transformation and the strength to break free from a past of rejection, trauma, mental, physical and sexual abuse, chronic illness, rape, abortion and addiction. I was just a broken girl living in a messed up world.

But …

My encounter with God was a turning point, setting me on a path to recovery and renewal. Today, I stand as a testament to the power of faith and God’s incredible grace and transformative love. I’m free from addiction and living a life filled with joy, peace and purpose. Being a light in the darkness I have been able to share my story with others who are struggling, offering them hope and pointing them to the One who can truly set them free. My story is one of redemption, demonstrating that no matter how deep the pain or how long the journey. God’s love can heal, restore and set YOU free. If you are battling addiction I want you to know that there is hope. Come to Our Fathers House, come as you are and allow Father God to do the same for you.

SUPPORT AVAILABLE

“Do not merely listen to the word and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.” James 1:22 (NIV)

WHY WE OFFER SUPPORT

We believe we are called for more than just preaching/teaching about God, but also to apply what it teaches by loving our neighbours as ourselves as Jesus has taught us.

The ways we choose to be the hands of Christ and to be a source of support and love for those in recovery or still suffering from addiction is by:

Food Bank - By offering food for those in recovery who are struggling financially.

Bus pass support - We believe making as many meetings as possible in the start of your recovery is vital, but we are aware it’s costly and some have no way of affording it.

Free recovery literature - If you are wanting to buy literature from fellowships such as AA, NA and CA, but can not genuinely afford, we are here for you.

Conditions apply.
